Algarve Women鈥檚 Cup

Canada won the 2016 edition of the Algarve Cup, winning 2:1 over Brazil in the final match of the women鈥檚 international competition. Canada reached the final after winning Group A with six points (two wins and one loss). This was Canada鈥檚 first competition after qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympics just a few weeks earlier. Summer Clarke, Janine Beckie (two), and Shelina Zadorsky were Canada鈥檚 goal scorers in the competition. Clarke and goalkeepers Sabrina 顿鈥橝苍驳别濒辞 and Kailen Sheridan all made their debut during the competition.
